Iphone wifi hotspot??

Im getting a Iphone 4s soon and i was wondering if it can pwifi hotspot and if it costs money??

Do you mean can you use it as a wifi hotspot?

If so, the answer is yes the iPhone 4s supports a 'Personal Hotspot' - you can connect up to 5 devices ...... However your network provider/contract has to support it.

As an example, my iPhone 4 supports personal hotspot, but my carrier (Fido, in Canada) only allows it if my data plan is 1GB or more.

On my data plan (Vodafone UK), it costs an extra fiver for 25MB of mobile data (tethered).

I'm on Three in the UK - £35 gets you unlimited data (including tethering - and calls and texts)

But most UK suppliers have a 'bolt-on' tariff for tethered (wifi hotspot) data.

Verizon and AT&T in the US both have tethering options, it's usually an extra $40/month I think.

Is hotspot only make influence on the consumed traffic in the data plan? Interesting to learn that some other conditions exists, like carrier should allow this. I am able to share Internet with iPhone4 and iPhone4S over USB, WiFi and sometimes Bluetooth. I am using prepaid SIM.
