I have been trying ti update my iPhone from OS5.0.1 to OS5.1. However, when I click download and update, the loading bar for "Connecting to iPhone soft update server' is a long wait.

I wonder what is happening?

Can't seem to update my iPhone at all?

I've tried alternating between OTA and through iTunes for two days.. still "Contacting the iPad software update server".
First time I've not been able to get an update from Apple since 2004..
Maybe the servers are still getting hammered.

Give it another day or so and it will be fine..trying to update an iOS device THE day of the release means that you and probably 100 million people are trying to do the same thing..
