Hi
I had to a reinstall on my Imac OSX Version 10.5.8, 2.4ghhz Intel Core 2 Duo.

Everything went ok until I tried to use iTunes. I wizard came up asking for Quicktime 7.5.5 or later. When I went to load the Quicktime it also failed saying it was for and earlier version of OSX.

I realise that my reinstall may be at the root of the problem but wonder how I can get back to iTunes and Quicktime running? I was suprised that this happened as I have had a trouble free system for years. My reason for the reinstall was to resolve a problem I had with an external CD Writer. This was resolved with assistance from this forum.

Just go to the iTunes part of the Apple website and download and install the latest version of iTunes. It includes Quicktime

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup
