Have tried lots but can't do forward delete. Please help!

Some confusion as the original post wasn't in the iOS/iPad forum etc.

There's no forward delete on the iPad keyboard (or any current Mac keyboard either!)

To my knowledge there's no forward delete on any (certainly most) mobile keyboards.

As you'd have to touch the screen and place the cursor to the left of what you'd want to delete with forward delete why not just position the cursor to the right then use backspace?

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup
