So, you know how when you double click the home button all of your running apps appear and you can quit the ones you aren't using? Well, if you tell Siri "Shuffle my music" (or something similar) she starts playing your music but if you double click the home button the music app is not running. So how is she playing the music? I don't think she is playing it off my legit itunes account because she is only playing the ones on my iPod and not off my computer. I'm confused by this.

The application that is active (whatever it is) does not show up in the "background" apps because it is not in the background, it is active.
You can test this by powering down the iPhone entirely, then starting up a program (doesn't matter which one). While it is still running, double-click the home button and check your backgrounded apps. The program that is still on-screen won't be there. |
