Old events in Calendar lost??

Sorry that did not work. This is what my default calendar setting looks like on my iPhone. If I had anything else checked other than calendar then that was causing duplication also. Calendar is basically the whole of the iCal calendar with all the sub-calendars rolled-up into it, you can't have this checked with other sub-cals checked otherwise those calendars will duplicate. It's possible this is the case..I'm hoping so otherwise I'm running out of ideas
