Hey guys - i am wondering if anybody here can help me out

There doesn't seem to be much ino on iOS and proxy - but with iOS5 and all the new features - not much is working.

To sum it all up

Corporate lan - internet access via http proxy

iMessage does not work
iCloud - doesn't always work
app store - which used to work flawlessly - not so much.

so bottom line - system wide proxy settings for web proxy are no longer applicable for most things... and there doesn't seem to be socks support on the iOS

This is all so far being tested on iPad (1), ipod touch, iphone 3gs ..... not much success

Bottom line - if iMessage doesn't work on wifi behind proxy - why doesn't it failover to the available 3g connection?
QUOTE Thanks
