I have an iPod Touch 2G and when I try to download apps directly on the iPod it goes to the waiting and then icon but that suddenly disappears and nothing. I try again and same thing. I reccently just bought a new computer so I cannot do this via iTunes on the computer. Any ideas? There's still a good 3gigs on it unused.

Reboot the iPod Touch and try again. Why can't use iTunes on your computer and download the applications and then sync?

It shouldn't..you can tell it to "Transfer purchases" from your iPod touch and it will copy it over the computer (as long as you use the same Apple ID on your iPod touch and computer)..

This is why. Apple is working on it. Might even be back up by now. I haven't bothered checking.
