1. MP4 and MPEG-4 are, in fact, the same thing.
2. Like other codecs, MPEG has variables including video bitrate, video size, audio bitrate and so on. Thus, even when a file has the extension that should allow it to work, iTunes may not recognize it if it doesn't meet expected specs in some way. 3. Consequently, a converter program with iPod presents is your best bet for success. iTunes itself can usually do this. |
