Sending photos out of the camera roll

When I try to send the maximum of five chosen pictures out of my camera roll of my iPhone 4 (photos I have taken with my iPhone), I can only see 3 of them in the Mail App. The other 2 are just icons. So there is no preview of the last 2 pictures before sending. They all get sent though. Is that normal?
