A friend of mine just bought herself a refurbished iPod 3rd generation. We have been trying to upgrade her OS to the latest version (4.3) but 10 minutes into the download it times out. No she does not have a wired modem, her signal is wireless internet.
Is this a problem with her computer or with her new iPod?

Exactly what I was trying to do (like I did on my own iPod) but I ended up phoning support and the solution to my querry:
- turn the antivirus OFF.

so far it is working...
So thanx.

I did say "so far" then it timed out again and again and again.
This is while turning the "anti-virus" off, as suggested by Apple tech support.
Any other suggestions?
