Lose VLC after restoring from jailbreak?

Hello,

I have an ipad that has not been jailbroken. I was able to download and install the VLC app while it was available from the Apple app store.

I would now like to jailbreak my ipad. My question is that when/if I decide to restore my ipad (i.e. un-jailbreak it) Will I be able to restore the VLC app from my itunes library to my ipad?

As long as the vlc.ipa is still in your library you can put it back onto your iPad, jailbroken or not.

i can understand why you dont want to lose vlc. i think i have 3 backups of it. being able to play any video file of any format makes it sooo worth having. Its nice not to have to convert anything.
