I go way back and only remember seeing McIntosh gear once in my repair shop (when I was in that business). I remember how heavy the Amp was. Opening it up to check the tubes (yeah, it had tubes) I couldn't believe how large and bulky the power transformer was and the audio output transformers. Great stuff. Solidly built but definitely could cause a hernia if you were into carrying them around too much...
