MacBook for creating apps?

Hello All,

I'm taking an iphone app creation class in January.
Any ideas on which Macbook I should get?
Macbook Pro seems logical but, the Air is tempting...
Does the upgraded performance of the Pro matter?

Go for the pro. it has a built in optical drive (so you don't have to stuff one in your bag) and the cheapest pro has almost double the processor speed and RAM of the most expensive air. Those differences do matter. Upgraded ram means more work done at a time, and faster processor means that it can do that work more times in a second.
