Hi Guys,

I've been trying to figure out a way to get rich text to work on Gmail for the iPad. Mom's been bugging me since she ways loves using the emoticons and sending out those coloured words.

I'm able to get Gmail to load the desktop version of the web page, but I am unable to get the virtual keyboard to show up when clicking on the email body section, so it doesn't work. I don't have a wireless keyboard at home to hook up with the iPad either.

Any suggestions/tips on this?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers.

At this stage I suggest you make friends with plain text mail.
Like many other Mac users it's all I use.
Otherwise write the message in Pages or similar and send that as a pdf.
Have fun.

Just realised how old this thread is.... sorry.

Hi worries about the late reply, thanks.

yeah, I know what you mean. I only write messages in plain text, but my mom (being a mom and all) loves the colours and emoticons, lol. Guess she'll have to do without it for the moment then.

Cheers,
Kin
