I think I broke my iPad. I plugged it into my Mom's iMac (one of the Macs with the round base with the swivel flat screen up top) to charge the iPad. When I returned, the iPad said "Not Charging." Since that time, my iPad will not hold a charge no matter how I charge it. I've done a hard reset. No luck. I went to the Apple Store and they told me to Reset to Original Software. Did it. Still no luck.

Has anyone else experienced this? Strikes me that if an old Mac can ruin your iPad, that might be important to disclose.

Whenever you plug an iPad into a USB port, it will say, "Not Charging" because of the power consumption issues. It will only charge with the charger that came with the unit.
