After ripping music CD on iTunes with a compilation of various artists and seeing below the album information "Various Artists" I overwrote the field "Artist" on the album in iTunes not realizing I was also overwriting the individual song artist information which was lost.

Is there a way to force a re-download of song data without re ripping the CD again?

I think you would have to delete the album then rip it again... but why not just look at the back of the cd case and just type it in.

Welcome
Easier than doing all that typing ...

Dont forget to use the Reputation System if someone has helped you out !!!
“I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure that I have periled life and reputation and reason. It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories, from a sense of insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom ….”― Edgar Allan Poe
