Disable incoming text/calls while using 3g?

Is there a way to disable incoming calls and texts while still using 3g? The reason is because I'm going on a date, and I'm going to be using the phone for radio apps in my car, and I'll be letting my date use other apps on my phone frequently as part of the date (geocaching). I don't want to worry about her using apps on my phone when an incoming text comes in. I don't want to be receiving any texts or phone calls while (particularly from other female friends) while my date is using apps via 3g on my phone. Is there a way to accomplish this? I need to use 3g and not receive phone calls or texts. I really need your help on this one, guys.

Sorry but you are out of luck on 3g. If you had wifi the whole time you could do it but .... No maybe you could turn off sound and preview to text messages. She could still see who sent it but not what they sent. As for calls just forward your calls to a buddy you trust.
OR. And take this as it's ment. Just be honest with her from the start who knows she maybe the one and you could be screwing it up from the start.
