sync ringtones from ITunes 9 to iPhone

OK so its beyond belief why this isnt simple. I both created a ringtone from a song that I purchased on iTunes and also bought the ringtone on iTUnes but it simply will not show up on my iphone when i sync it... I have followed all the stupid instruction posted on syncing so please be original and please help.. Apple if you are listening.. this isnt acceptable...

Well i try to help but you are really hand cuffing us with your notion that you'll only except Original help. I have over 3 dozen ring tones on my iPhone most that I made in garage band but several from iTunes and have never had a problem.

So please tell us the steps you have taken so we can see where the problem is.
