is there a way to make 3.0 OS apps work on a 2.2.1 OS iPod Touch?

i have a itouch with jailbreak 2.2.1.

i like some of the apps that are only avaliable for 3.0 OS.

is there a way to make 3.0 apps work on a 2.2.1?
also if i upgrade to 3.0, can you jailbreak that verizion?
and if i get 3.0 will i be able just to sync all my apps now that i have that work with 2.2.1?
is it also easy to jailbreak a 3.0 OS?
please help me out

I don't think you'll have luck running 3.0 Apps on 2.2.1, but some of them may retain compatibility.

I would recommend just upgrading to 3.0. ... And to answer your question yes 3.0 is jailbreakable all firmwares up to 3.1.2 are.

"edit" also I forgot to mention that you will definitely want to back up your phone before doing the upgrade. And if you want to restore your jailbreak apps download aptbackup and back up your apps. This will allow you to restore your apps but not your settings. to restore you need to redownload aptbackup after the new jailbreak and then hit restore. It will then download everything you had downloaded before. Also make sure to add any extra repos before you restore.
