Need to re-install Ap Store

I have a friend with a 3G and I recommended Skype to him. When we went to install it I noticed there was no Ap Store icon. I checked my own 3G and noted that you cannot delete Ap Store (at least on the current sw release) so I'm wondering how he deleted it, more importantly, how to get it re-installed?

I would scroll thru all the home screens just to make sure it wasn't sitting all alone on a back screen and if not restore the phone with iTunes.

Been there, done that. The guy only has the search screen and the main menu.
