I've had my iPhone for a week now and love it. after using a blackberry for 2 years I am comfortable with all but one task. I still miss being able to begin inputting names and being presented with a predicted list. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? If not, is there an app that will enable me to do this?

From your home screen, push the home button (or swipe your finger left to right). It should bring up a search window...

Yep, search is the way to go - you can change the options to only search contacts in that finder. Also, at the top of the contacts screen there is a search you can use to find contacts. All of this is assuming you are using software 3.0
