tethering problems iphone 3g

i have recently installed a program from "benm.at" for tethering from iphone 3g, but since installing it iphone wont connect to my mac and wont show up in itunes or take a charge, does anyone know anything about this, and also the tethering doesnt work either

Have you tried forcing the iPhone into recovery mode?

hi guys just to let you i got it sorted, all i had to do was re-start iphone, my own silly mistake, but thanks for your reply jaygray, and ps it works great, i would highly recommend benm.at/ for tethering
