Hi,

I just bought a 3g iphone with a turbo sim from a friend. Its software is version 2.1. Just wondering if i can preform the update i get asked to in itunes or will i be left with a book weight. can you please tell me if this is possible to do?

It's best not to update if your using a piggy back sim.

as the turbo sim is a hardware mod , i think there is no reason for you to be affraid of updating

not true if he updates he runs the risk of also having to update the firmware on the sim adapter, each sim adapter is only configured to work with and up to a certain baseband,firmware....etc

thanks guys hopefully i can upgrade to version 3.0. Maybe a new turbo sim will come for that and i can put it in and upgrade then?
