Aeroweather fails to load data

I have loaded the Aeroweather (free) app onto my iPod Touch. However, when logged onto the internet it fails to upload any data. Also, the whirly symbol in the top left corner that shows internet search doesn't activate with this app. Anybody any ideas? Thanks.
