I have an unlocked iPhone that was a gift that iPhoneUnlockUk unlocked for me, and last night tried (foolishly) to upgrade to 2.0.

This did not work. I should have done my homework but I spent 20 for the firmware and it's wrecked my phone and now I can do nothing.
iPhoneUnlockUK are not replying to my e-mails and obviously I don't have a phone!

Can anyone please help? how can I get my iPhone back to a useable unlocked state?

Sorry, shouldn't talk about unlocking since you shouldn't be doing it.

Good luck though, that sounds pretty bad...

Don't worry, They sorted it in the end. Kinda sucked for a bit. My advice would be not the use firmware the day it comes out. Wait for the kinks to be worked out.

Do a DFU restore using iTunes. You should be fine.
You can't "brick" an iphone/pod just by doing a firmware update unless you are messing with the bootloader. Even then its still recoverable under most conditions.
