If i restore my iPod touch will i lose my 2.0 software update???? Thanks in advance.

If you already upgraded to 2.0, then no. A restore simply wipes the personal data from the device, such as music, contacts, calendar info, apps, etc, but the base software (i.e. the firmware) stays intact.

itunes automatically backs your phone up before a restore no?
