Return Airport Extreme?

I'm thinking about just retuning the Airport extreme, it can not connect to my external drive and that one of the main reasons I got it. Is there any other good wireless router I can get that can connect to my printer and external HD??

Or do some of you think they will resolve the problems with AE and external HD issues? I posted about this before and there are a good amount of people with the same problem...
