You can't. The MAC address is tied to your network adapter. Your wired and wireless adapters have different MAC addresses however.

Has your MAC address been banned? Did they block you for something?

If you've been banned for some reason or another, it's likely an IP ban, but that wouldn't be tied to your MAC address since you could easily just go to another machine, switch NICs or spoof your MAC address. If you were banned, just accept it and move on.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

I think you confirmed my suspicions. When an administrator imposes an IP ban, it's usually for an entire subnet - which means that any computer you use on the same ISP will be effected.

Yes, you should absolutely move on.

You should have received an email if you were banned. If you were banned, move on. If not, don't give up so easily. There are ways to get back in.

Maybe ask on the second life forum - they're much more likely to know:

Or send them an email?

Or go outside and enjoy the sunshine.....
