I am a reasonably new Mac user, switching from PC network to now administer a Mac network.

Now the issue I have is any macbooks and iMacs connected to the wireless (netgear router) can access the internet but cannot print. When opening System Preferences --> Print & fax --> Add Printer, Bonjour and Appletalk printers do not show up. I am sure it's not the computer's issue, as the macbooks, put into another wireless network in the school can pick up these printers and print to them successfully.

Once the computers are plugged in (ie a Cat5/6 cable is plugged into it), they print fine.

The router is connected to a LAN port.

The strange thing is that when in the other wireless network, the computers pick up the main server's distributed IP (e.g. the server IP is 12.34.56.20, and when the computer is in the other wireless netowkr, it would have 12.34.56.144) but when in this one, it would pick up the IP from the wireless router (192.168.0.*). I'm not sure if this has any significance, but I feel it might.

I have changed the router's DNS to reflect our primary and secondary servers.

It prints fine through IP printers. But I cannot find the IPs of all the IP printer and not all our printers are IP printers. Besides, we get powerouts here like mad and everytime the printers restart, a new IP is assigned.

Please help!
QUOTE Thanks
