mail crashes with attachment via airport extreme

My set-up is as follows: MacBook 10.5.1 Airport Extreme Western Digital External Harddrive (on Airport Extreme via USB) The problem I have is that Mail crashes whenever I try and attach a(ny) file that is on the external harddrive. If I copy the file across to my local hard drive it attaches without a hitch. This problem occurs with all files, not just a specific one/type. Has anyone come across this before? Any solutions or ideas? Thanks for the help Cheers |
