Hello,

I want to try something and i'd b very grateful if someone would help. I have configured an Imac for PPPoE, the connection is via an Ethernet cable to the Imac from the PPPoE equipment. I have shared internet via the Aiport of the Imac to the other machines which are now able to connect wirelessly.
The problem is i want the Aiport Extreme to act as a repeater so as to boost the signal from the Imac.

If I understand your setup correctly, you will be better off using the Extreme to do the PPPoE connection and let your other machines connect to it. Internet sharing is a bit of a kludge, it works, but it is quite unreliable. The Extreme was designed to that job!

Well, I can't you there! Can you control the MTU rate with internet sharing?
