USB EXT Hard drive not shared over network

I have a USB External harddrive that is hooked up to my Mac Mini but for the life of me I can't access it over the network. I have file sharing turned on and have added the drive. I can access the everything else through the network but not this drive. What does a guy need to do to access this drive through the network?
