airport problems

While trying (unsuccessfully) to install my airport express to extend the range of my airport extreme, I had to reset the airport extreme several times. This last time, I was (sigh) successful; which is to say, the computer recognizes the airport and I am reaching the internet. However, the light on the airport continues to flash amber even though the computer is reading green. Have I damaged the reset button? Will the light eventually settle back into green? Does it matter?

I would consider re-flashing the firmware again, it worked for me. Also, if the software/network is all working fine then I am not bothered about the lights...but that's just me, its not like I look at the box all the time once its all setup...right?
