Hi everyone, you may have seen me before on these forums quite alot recently that's because i just purchased my first mac (white macbook 2.16ghz) um basically i am trying to connect to a linksys wireless g router (they are quite a popular box i believe) and everytime i go to connect it asks me for a WEP password i know what the password is and i enter it accordingly. Now i know this pass is correct because other people in the house have used it for their laptops. However, they all use windows laptops ( i know i know) do i have to enter a different password because i use a mac? Are there any other possibilities as to why my airport is playing up? I have had this problem with other networks i know the password to but i can connect no problem to unsecured networks.
Thanks for all help......... Jordan |

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics! |

You'll be doing them a favor if you ask your mum's friends to change their security to WPA. If you're using WEP, you may as well have no security set up at all.
