Connecting to a router ?

Hi all,

I should be receiving my first mac (an imac) early next week, but I have a question.

I currently run a PC through a router which my husband's computer is also run through (not wireless). (it is a Linksys)

When i get my new imac, will I simply be able to plug in the network cable into the computer and then into the router to hook up to the internet? Or will there be other setup involved?

I just want to make sure I'm prepared because i want to make sure I can get the internet up and running on it as fast as possible because I'm sure I'll have tons of questions to ask then!
