hi guys, i just got my girlfriend a macbook to match mine and was wondering if someone can help me out on the file sharing and printer deal. i really appriciate it.

What sort of a network setup do you have? Are you sharing the same router? Let us know more..

Sorry about that. we both have macbooks, with a wireless uverse router, dsl. let me know what else you need

Basically if you are both on the same network, then, on the macbook that is connected to the printer, you need to go to

System Preferences>>Sharing and then check (start) Printer Sharing. If you want to share files, then on the macbook you want to share files from, do the same, and check (start) Personal File Sharing.
