I have a G4 iBook and Intel Mini. The iBook for sure seems to have more range than the Mini does, but the mini will connect to any Access Point in my house, just the signal is not as strong as the iBook in the same location. Maybe it's the way the Mini's WiFi Antenna is in the top of it's case. The iBook always gets the best signal of any laptop both PC or Mac that I have ever tried or owned.
