Remote connect Mac to Mac

So, how do i connect from my macbook to her macbook? We're both in the same city but not on the same network. On apple's website they say that apple remote desktop is only for a connection between macs on the same network.... I looked at log me in but its a web interface and was hoping for something that'll be more responsive. Anything else available or should i just use Logmein.com? Thanks in advance! |

ARD can certainly be used on macs remotely across the globe. Only some functions require a lan (such as wake). ARD is the fastest performing and most robust tool, if you can afford it. schweb  This has to be one of the best threads ever in MF history...  Cherokee This gets my vote for most innovative thread on Mac-Forums... ever.
