I'm using what looks to be an airport that might be a few years old. It's the kind that's shaped like a short pyramid, not the airport extreme. I guess I never password protected it, because I had a friend come over and see if he could get on, and he could. I want to put a password on it, but when I go to the airport utility to configure it, it asks me for the password, which I don't know. How can I reset the base station so I can put a password on it?

Is it the white one or the graphite one?

If it turns out to be the white one, check out this link:

Resetting the AirPort Extreme Base Station

If you have the graphite one, check this link:

Resetting the AirPort Base Station (Graphite)
