MacBook Airport Issues

Just wondering if anyone could help me with an issue which I have with my Macbook. I've been connecting wireless through my Belkin 54g, for the last 2 months with no problems. Over the last week, the signal level has dropped a few times, even when I'm in the same room as said router. However, I turned on the Mac this morning, and I can't get any connection. Airport sometimes sees the router, and sometimes doesn't. Basicaly I can get a connection via Airport. Has any of you wonderful people had and similar experiences, and found any solutions??
