How does one go about viewing Windows network shares/folders over a VPN connection?

It will depend entirely on your company's VPN concentrator, but if it's open to SMB, you should be able to connect using the 'Go' menu in Finder and then 'Connect to Server' just as you would on the LAN.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
