Suddenly all of my Mac users (as usual, my pc's aren't having any trouble connecting) are having trouble connecting to my OS X server. The authenticating window just sits there. Switching them to smb fixes it, but is there anything I can do on the server so I don't have to run around to each and every Mac?

In case anyone else has this problem, turns out there are all kinds of AFP problems with 10.4.8 that were supposed to be fixed in some combo update but they were not. Now Apple says they are all fixed in version 10.4.9.

I've got an Xserve with 10.4.9 that I'm unable to start the AFP service on. No error messages, nothing in the logs; it just won't start up. Any ideas?
QUOTE Thanks
