Cool Airport Extreme and Printer setup
I just set up my airport extreme and my wireless connection works fine. I had a printer set up that I could connect to my laptop with the USB cord.

I connected that USB (printer cable) to the base station before it was powered up like the directions said.

Now when I try to print, nothing happens. Do I need to do something else? Any suggestions?

Yes, did you add it to your printer list? Its not going to be the same printer that was listed there before, because now its in a different location.

Go to Printer/Faxes in System Prefs, and delete the old printer, and then add printer (Using the +- under the left list), the printer should show up in the list with connection type Bonjour.
