    airport and external hd
    i was wondering if you can hook an external hd to an airport express station in the usb port in the back? please say you can... it will solve all my problems!

    The port is to be used for sharing a printer.

    Plugging in a hard drive will not give you a network-shared hard drive, if that's what you're trying to accomplish. You'll need to buy a different piece of hardware to do that.

    According to the Apple website you can plug a hard drive into the new AirPort Extreme unit for wireless backups, etc.
