What's the term for changing the IP of your router to match your computer's IP address? I'd search but I forget what it's called. Don't hurt me Devilboy :p

i dont know the term for it, but what is the point or theory behind doing such thing?

Apparently its a workaround with routers to have several comps connected but appear to have just your comp connected to the modem

iirc alot of companies frown on multiple PCs on one connect - they want you to pay for a modem for each comp.
