Hey,
I travel a child of a lot and I have noticed that maybe in 90% of hotels, i cannot call my wife or children on the iChat connection with built in isight.... This is a great shame, and I'm going to be away for about 2 weeks in Oz from tomorrow.... I'm wondering if theres any kind of hack that I can initiate to counteract this?? I really need an answer ASAP, thanks for any help Regards Alex Last edited by schweb; 07-02-2006 at 06:11 PM. Reason: profanity |

I travel a lot as well and have found that some hotels will offer you a Static IP, vice a dynamic, for an extra charge. Sometimes that works, sometimes not. Many hotels block that sort of stuff to keep their bandwidth from getting hogged by one person. You can try manually enabling the ports in your firewall but that is hit and miss as well.
