On a 5-10 computer network running OS9 with all machines accessing a Filemaker Pro database the network is terribly slow. The machines are iMac's and the network is 100mbit ethernet. I've heard something about the networking components of OS9 having some slow functions is this true and does anyone have any ideas on speeding it up?

You may be on a TCP/IP network but you data may be travelling over Appltalk.
To confirm this, disable Appletalk in control panels to see if you lose communication.
