Please can someone help me, since about 3 days ago I keep getting these ridiculous ads coming up on the sides and bottom of my screen when using the internet. it doesnt matter what browser i use... they look like this.

Please can someone help me get rid of them

Download and install Ad Block Plus from here. You might also wish to install Ghostery while you're at it. It's also free.

thanks for your help.... i have installed both.

the ads have disappeared, but the black strips that say hide ad are still there? is it perhaps something i downloaded on accident or something? is there anyway to find out at all?

bc also i forgot to mention i am getting green underlining on certain words as ads? this happened at the same time as the other ads popped up
