Pinging an ip address and getting a hostname in return?I have a pretty simple need. We want to be able to ping 10.10.1.x and have the return come back with the computer name. Works fine from our windows devices but not from the macs. DHCP and DNS are on a windows server 2008 box. Host zones are in place, etc.
Any help?

Try Network Utility which is located in the Applications folder of the CoreServices folder (/System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/)
I put it on my desktop so I don't have to drill down to find it.
It is also explained here: OS X: About Network Utility
